Let your ideas change the world- Happy New Year!

Its a new day, of the new year. Another chance for us to start something new, to set things right and to achieve greater heights.

The world economy is going through a tough phase- the United States not picking up as expected, Europe still on the verge of going into a deep and prolonged recession, there are fears of a China slowdown and the state of confusion and policy stagnation in India. But, as I had said in one of my talks earlier last year- For the entrepreneurs, every wall is a door.

Entrepreneurship is not about doing business and earning money. Entrepreneurship is a state of mind where the entrepreneur always keeps seeking ways and means to make things around him better. Where he seeks to make the best use of the constraints and deliver something which makes the situation better. Where he keeps his eyes and ears open and tries to leverage every given opportunity. Always seeks improvement, to make things better. Always seeks to achieve perfection.

If you have every thought of starting some thing new, start it now. Because, you shouldn’t wait for a perfect time to start, the start itself makes the timing perfect. Don’t be afraid of failure. There is nothing called ‘failure’, only temporary setbacks called ‘learnings’. I know it is easier said than done. There are always practical constraints. So, even if you don’t want to start working on your idea, share it with someone, discuss it with friends. Who knows, you might find partners waiting to hear such an idea and collaborate with you. Never be afraid of sharing your thoughts and ideas. Never be afraid of asking questions. There are no stupid ideas, there are no dumb questions. Only dumb question is the question you didn’t ask and the only stupid idea is the idea which you didn’t share with others.

Wishing all my readers a very happy new year. Get up. Get going. Let your ideas change the world!
